San Francisco?

Hmmm... The possibility of moving back to the Bay area has presented itself. Juannie was told today that there is an opening at a company store on Franklin in San Fran. That's our old stomping grounds. Two hours later, our dear friend that lives in Oakland called Juannie to extend a helping hand to us.

San Francisco is expensive and far from family but I do miss it. Most of the time I dream of San Fran. These days, though, I am dreaming of my hometown. I need to figure out if I am ready to succumb to my wanderlust again or if I am going to plant the flag forever in New Orleans.

So much to think about.

SF will always be my "second choice" to home...

but real estate is soooo expensive!

I know. My mind spins just at the prospect of rent in the Bay area.

I hear housing prices *are* astronomical in SF. My MIL visited there and said it was just beautiful, though.

Would anyone be able to sell their home in New Orleans easily anymore? I'm not trying to be nosy - I'm just concerned about how you are doing.

Juannie and I have talked about that already. The real estate market in NO promises to bottom out while the prices for houses in SF are sky high. One option is to keep our house and rent it out. Rental property will be at a premium for the folks who need a place to stay while they rebuild. There is so much to consider about moving 2000 miles away. I need to sleep on this for a few days.
