Gardening Goodness

Today, I tidied up my flower beds and then I planted my new pansies and violas. It was a perfect day for yard work. It was sunny but not hot yet I could still comfortably wear shorts.

Here's a picture of Bessie enjoying the late afternoon sun in our backyard.

Aww - what was it that kid in the park called your dogs? Pitbulls without enough leg?

Yes and doesn't she look short yet ferocious. She is pretty feisty when she attacks that football you can see in the background.

Looks like Bess is quite content with her lot in the world. We had a great day up here, too, with highs in the low 70s. Strange for post-Thanksgiving weather. According to the latest models there's a huge cold snap on the way around Thursday for you and Friday for me. Up here they're saying Friday will bring highs only in the 30s. Geez Louise.

Bess and Rocky are happy pups. Juannie and I enjoy spoiling them to ridiculous proportions.

I knew the weather wasn't going to stay this nice so I definitely took advantage of it yesterday. A gorgeous day!

Some benefits of living in a sub-tropical climate: 70 degree days in November and year-round gardening. It helps balance out hurricane season and 100% humidity with 90+ degree temps in August.
