This might explain why mosquitoes avoid me.

If I'm in a room with 1000 people and one mosquito, the skeeter will seek me out... Bugs love me. I must be the 10% that attract them.

Juannie's the same way. The skeeters are swarming around him and I can be right next to him and not get a bite. I keep telling him it's because he so much sweeter than I am!

Hm.. thats interesting. But since my dad used to run behind the mosquito man's truck (as if it was a regular sprinkler) when he was younger and they still love to bite him, I don't think your theory is quite correct. ;)

Scary how naive we all once were, huh?

I think of all the swimming I did in Lake Pontchartrain before it was declared polluted and wonder why I don't have webbed feet, fins or some other odd manifestation of my exposure to that funky water.

Frightening but not unexpected. I suspect it's the same everywhere, and probably a lot worse in some places. I think life expectancy is going to start to drop soon due to this and what we've done to the earth. Our parents probably had/have the longest healthiest lives.

Mosquitos love to the the point of insanity. I will be covered in bug dope and they were literally kill themselves to struggle through my clothing to get to my skill. My brother, standing beside me and wearing nothing, will be untouched. I've tried changing soap, shampoo, deoderant, even what I eat. Apparently, my blood is high grade for egg incubation or whatever you call what they do with our juicy bits.

BTW, flies are just as bad. One will buzz around my head for miles on a hike until I'm ready to run into the nearest lake and drown myself.

Re: pesticides
We've got this problem and girls maturing much earlier sexually from all the hormones pumped into food and lots of others we haven't even heard about yet I'm sure. It will all come crashing down on our species in some pretty scary ways. And I'm with you, it will probably be sooner than later.
