Pleistocene Park

" A bold conservation plan dubbed "Pleistocene Park" could see lions, cheetahs and elephants roaming America's Great Plains...

The plan envisaged by scientists at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, would see these lost creatures replaced with present-day counterparts, including Asian and African elephants, lions, cheetahs, Bactrian camels, feral horses, and wild asses...

'Right now, we are investing all of our megafauna hopes on one continent - Africa.'

'Obviously gaining public acceptance is going to be a huge issue, especially when you talk about reintroducing predators.'

'There are going to have to be some major attitude shifts. That includes realising predation is a natural role, and that people are going to have to take precautions.'"

I would like to point out that also during the Pleistocene epoch, most of the northern tier of states were buried under glaciers and the Gulf Coast as we know it was underwater, but I don't go off advocating we freeze Chicago and flood Mobile because I'm concerned about preserving that period of time. See, I didn't know that about the Pleistocene era. Oh well! We'll be underwater soon anyway thanks to global warming. But according to Bushco, it is just a theory like evolution.
