Finally Going Home

We are going home tomorrow. Part of me is glad to finally get back and part of me is very afraid. I am afraid of what I'll see in my house, my neighborhood and all over the New Orleans area. I don't know when I'll be able to post again. Maybe, I'll do phone posts for a while.

We are going down next weekend, work on the house a bit... this half here half there stuff is a bit of crap.

Anyway, take care of yourself, don't drink the water, and keep us updated! ***hugs***

we're outta here today or tomorrow...i noticed that the tastee donuts on w. esplanade and transcontinental has free wireless now. i'll bet a lot more places start setting it up so people can get access. even if you can't get in at home, you'll get on, you're hooked :-)

be safe *h*

Have you been inside the Tastee to see if is up and working? My brother told me they had that sign up before the storm, so they may not have taken it down yet. I hope its true, I just wonder if any high speed company really has their stuff up and running yet around here. Well, unless you have dsl... never thought I'd regret going with a cable modem so much.

we just drove by, so no, I don't know for sure. Caffe Angelina, right there in the same strip, had free wireless before the storm, so if their DSL is OK, they'll be back as well...

It is a hard thing to do, to be sure. I'm at the point where I have to face that there really isn't much of anything worth going back to my apartment for, but its really hard to do. Being fortunate enough to have the money to buy new things doesn't make me miss MY things any less.
