Haircut 100

On Saturday, I am going to get a haircut. And not a trim. A real haircut. I have worn my hair pretty much the same for several years - all one length with a headband. The only change is how long it is. In my icon picture, it was a little longer than shoulder length. Right now, it's about six inches longer than that.

I have made the decision that I am ready for something different. My appointment with Giorgio is at 10AM and I am going to get a new stylish do. I have found three hairstyles that I am considering.

So I ask my LJ friends to look at the 3 options behind the cut. Whatever style I get, I will be going with shoulder length like in the first option. (Sorry that one's a little smaller because I had to scan it.) Please vote on the one you like the best in the comments.

Thanks for your help!

I think #2 although they are both similar - it'll depend on how you decide to style it.

Must be nice to have straight hair. Don't hesitate to get it a little shorter, though - you never know what is flattering. And hair grows back.

In fact, get yourself one of those Halloween wigs in a short bob just to see!

I should get a blond one just to see what I'd look like...

I have to blowdry my hair straight. Normally, it's somewhat wavy. And if it's really short, I get little ringlets. But it's not consistently wavy or curly to let it do it's own thing.

I like 2 and 3, though in your case, I would go with 3. This is because you have had the same style for a long time and 3 is less radical, then you can go up to 2 later if you like it shorter.

That's a good point about #3. It's not as big a change.

Well thanks! Not yet. But the mail still is not close to normal here these days. I'm still getting bills from September but at least they are delivering to my house.

I know. It's all crazy. We still haven't gotten any magazines since the storm and we subscribe to quite a few.

Although, one would hope they'd cut it a little less lopsided than in the pic ;)

Giorgio took my appointment info. I think I am in good hairstyling hands!

I like both 1 and 3. I was agonizing over hairstyles not that long ago, and the main advice I was always given was to make sure that when you're looking at other styles, you're looking at pictures of people who also have the same shape face as you. Which is why I really don't like that 1001hairstyles model. But I think both 1 and 3 would fit you, especially if 3 is going to be longer than the picture shows. I'm sure Giorgio will be able to tell you a lot more about this kind of stuff.

I am going to bring all three pics with me to give him an idea what I want. Then he can use that to do what's best with me and my wavy hair.

I really like #3 because it has more of an earthy, sexy, Sophia Loren-ish (in the 50s and 60s)look. I think you are going to look gorgeous no matter what you end up doing.

Thanks! That's very sweet. It looks like #3 is the favorite.

I like 2 and 3 (I'm a fan of shorter hair, myself). I say get it cut like 3, then see how you like it, and you can always get it cut like 2 after that (right after that, in the same salon visit) if you feel like going shorter. Also ask your stylist what he thinks would look best on you, he's the expert, after all. :)

I will bring the 3 suggestion pics and see what he think will work best with my hair. I like all three but wanted some feedback from all of you.
