2006 Begins!

Juannie and I had a fun and quiet New Years Eve celebration at home. It got really foggy so it was nice being all cozy and snuggly while toasting the beginning of 2006. My resolutions for this year are to walk more using the iPod as motivation, post at least one photo for each day of the year in photodee and to continue sharing info and articles about what's going on in New Orleans post-Katrina.

January - Happy New Year. I am too sleepy to write about my fun evening or my morning's adventure with the pups so here's a little survey.

February - From a wonderful weblog about books and libraries, Library Dust comes a touching post about the role books played in the author's love and respect for our animal friends.

March - Before this weekend, I'd never heard about The BTK Killer.

April - These 20 photos from Iraq won the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography.

May - The useful little Post-It is 25 this year.

June - Last week, the washing machine stops working on the gentle cycle. New timer required - not cheap and washer no longer under warranty.

July - Sandra Day O'Connor has resigned from the Supreme Court. I thought last summer was bad with all the election rancor.

August - Darfur through the eyes of its children.

September - I am increasingly saddened and worried by the situation in New Orleans.

October - Two more tropical waves are firing up and will probably become named storms in the next 24 hours.

November - Juannie and I are back from Disney World.

December - Juannie brought me a sweet surprise back from Austin, The Big Over Easy by Jasper Fforde.
