Post-Election Peace Pledge

The Post-Election Peace Pledge

: I take this pledge:

After the election results are in, I promise to:
: Support the President, even if I didn't vote for him.
: Criticize the President, even if I did vote for him.
: Uphold standards of civilized discourse in blogs and in media while pushing both to be better.
: Unite as a nation, putting country over party, even as we work together to make America better.

Care to take the pledge?

: The alternative pledge:

I hereby pledge that after the election is called, I will run naked through the streets, smeared with war paint, stinking of Jack Daniels and screaming obscenities at my neighbors.

I will do this even if my candidate wins because drunken, naked cursing is fun no matter who the president is.

I pledge to all of the above!

Sick With Nervousness

It is 8:18PM and I am ready to throw up from nervousness!!!

Andrew Sullivan and Wonkette are still calling it for Kerry. I am already tired of these TV people. PBS comes on in a half hour.

Go John Kerry!!!

Keeping Up!

From Slate: In the national exit poll, Kerry leads Bush 51-48. In Wisconsin he's up by three and in Ohio and Florida he leads by one.

Lordy Loo! William Weld is talking about gnomes? What is that all about?

***Update*** And Rev. Al is speaking the truth. If Bush wins this one, it is his first victory for the White House. Sorry Al! The Dems (at least in my house) have broken out the booze.

I am beside myself with despair. How can this President be re-elected? How can people think he is worth supporting? Do they want four more years of disaster?
