Lazy Day

I should do some housecleaning today but I just don't feel like it. It's gray and blah outside so I don't feel like doing any yard work either. To kick off the remainder of the afternoon, I lit some pomegranate candles, made some popcorn and opened a Fresca. Juannie's at work, the pups are dozing and I am going to relax. I might read, take a nap or even watch a movie. This lazy day is much needed, especially with Mardi Gras looming. We are taking it easy this weekend since Juannie has to work but we plan to see some nighttime parades around town during the week - weather permitting.

Juannie and I are still trying to decide if we are watching the Super Bowl or going to Bacchus next Sunday night. This is the first time ever that New Orleanians have had to make the choice between the granddaddy of the super parades and the Super Bowl. I am leaning toward Super Bowl because there is only one Super Bowl but many parades. Juannie seems like he wants to go to the parade. Either way, we have a bet going on the game. He likes the Patriots and I love me some Eagles. We haven't settled on the stakes for the bet yet. He gets a mischievous gleam in his eye when we talk about it so I think he is cooking up something naughty. I don't have any good ideas yet. I have a week to come up with my own frisky plan.
