Flood Redux

All is well now in the land of mops and towels. I was so tired and aggravated when I wrote last night's entry that I was feeling overwhelmed. Juannie woke up and couldn't believe I let him keep sleeping. We did a little more cleanup and the seeping stopped. This morning things look okay. The floor doesn't seem like it was affected. I will be keeping an eye on it the next few days because water can keep doing damage even when you don't see it. I am allowing myself a small sigh of relief at the moment.

Mall Sprawl

Scary pictures of malls from the 60s and 70s? I am so there.

The mall I went to in my childhood and teen years was called Lakeside Mall. I spent many days as a shopper there. My very first job was at D.H. Holmes department store in that very mall. It had many ghastly design elements like the horrors in the pictures at Malls of America.

I now avoid malls. I think it's because I am still traumatized by the tackiness I witnessed during the 60s and 70s.

I am a dope. I hit the delete instead of save when I made a change to my last entry. And I don't feel like recreating it now. Too aggravated.
