The Ocho

Today, Juannie and I are celebrating our eighth wedding anniversary. I am the luckiest woman in the world to have such a loving and generous husband.

We thought about going out to dinner but even though more and more restaurants are reopening around town, they are very crowded.

So in honor of the occasion and the first real fall day in 2005, Juannie is making his world-famous chili. We invited some friends over who just returned from evacuation.

We missed being able to see friends and family on the spur of the moment during all this craziness. Just one of the many things we took for granted.
levees

(no subject)

It's pretty depressing that belongings it took years to accumulate are demolished and disposed of in moments by a bulldozer and a backhoe.
