I'm Ready for Some Football!!

But I can't really watch it. This is the message I just sent to my local cable company because my reception sucks tonight.

"Why is my digital cable 'skipping' tonight? And why am I unable to reach someone via telephone to complain about this service problem? I have tried for the last 2 hours to contact you via phone and I get the "All circuits are busy" message. I expect a utility company to be able to receive calls regarding poor service without this sort of system failure. The current commercial with your company's leader apologizes for numerous problems but gives no assurances for solving these lapses in service. I am very unhappy that I am unable to view a critical Monday night game for my division (Tampa Bay v. Carolina) without constant interruption. Get your act together Cox or I will be exploring other options. (Just missed a turnover thanks to my poor quality reception. Thanks so much!!!) P.S. Do you know the number to a good satellite company? I bet they'd take my call right now!"

you can also let them know that your friend who has HD via DirecTV says the game has been incredible in every single moment. :-)

p.s. it's a little weird to be pulling for Tampa Bay...

I love that icon!

It was difficult to pull for Chuckie and against Jake. But I really liked how the ESPN guys kept talking about Chuckie's many mean faces and Tony Kornheiser mentioned at least twice that he was really a pirate punctuated by, "Arrrrr!" Hahaha! The best part of the whole night, though, was the fact that Carolina does look especially sucky even against Chuckie.

FWIW, satellite coverage isn't perfect either...we discover this at home quite often when there's a bad rain or thunderstorm.

Still though, spotty service from a cable company is unacceptable, since it's much harder to interfere with a cable signal than satellite.

Satellite is definitely not the answer. I know lots of people who had it and just threw all the equipment away because it was such a disaster.
