I've never heard the expression "King's Day" - is that the day the Magi visit?

Ohh, that sounds so cool. I was just speaking to a colleague and she says she's thinking of welding together a metal tree - with a dark, metallic finish.

We always called The 12th Day of Christmas or Ephiphany as King's Day. It's the start of Mardi Gras and King Cake season here in New Orleans. And I firmly believe that my decorations should be up through this day.

My mom absolutely agrees with you. She says that at least a few ornaments must make it to January 6.

Oh and I forgot to respond about our star. Juannie found it a few years back and I just love it because it's funky and informal which matches the style of how I decorate our tree.
