Bee-Liciousness for eroslane

Bad pictures and a thorough recap of the action from "The Savage Bees" inspired by comments from eroslane to my previous bee-oriented post.

I had this similar exchange a month or so ago with swampytad. too funny. I remember when that movie aired on TV.

Everything was a big event when it came on TV back in the 1970s because there were so few options. Everyone watched one of five channels. And half the time Channel 26 wasn't even watchable so you were down to four.

My favorite New Orleans TV time was The Big Movie at 3pm every day. We'd watch al the time in the summer because they'd have special weeks like "King Kong Week" or "Marx Brothers Week" or "Musical Week." It really helped me get a lot of classic movies under my belt. To this day, my brother, who is a right wing republican can find common ground with our love for the Marx Brothers all thanks to THE BIG MOVIE.

My three brothers and I loved The Big Movie, too. We watched all of the movies you mentioned. Elvis week was always a favorite with us. And it seemed that if I was home sick, The Incredible Mr. Limpet was always on that day.

Wow! Someone had a lot of time to create that most-extensive website!

I love the photo on the second page with that guy running with his 70s shirt over his head. "Oh noes!!1!!! BEeeEEeezzzZZZZ!!!!1"

I almost posted that picture because I thought it was funny, too. But I went exclusively with the VW ensconced in bees. What about the picture of the person's face after they were attacked by bees? It looks more like bad acne to me.

The bad acne was okay, but what I really enjoyed was how considerate the bees were to the VW Beetle driver --- I mean, they left a little circle-bit of the driver's side windshield "open" so the driver could see.

Bee etitquette. Whoda thunk it?

The bees thought they were going to a Saints game since they are black and gold. Since they are team-oriented, they made it possible for the driver to see. No Saints, no cheerleaders, no fun for the bees.

Dammit. Bumped post by mistake.

That VW Beetle is quite the versitile car, no? Remember in THE GIANT SPIDER INVASION? When the spiders were large, they were VW Beetles covered in shag carpeting with large legs hanging out the side windows, which rocked more than crawled. *bwahahaha*

I saw that one on Mystery Science Theater. Hilarious!

But what about "Deadly Eyes"? Cute little dachshunds were supposed to be the evil mutant junkie rats. But when the rat pack would take off running to terrorize more people, it was so obvious that they used a herd of barely costumed dachshunds. My brothers and I thought it was hilarious because my grandmother had dachshunds. We watched that movie over and over again on early HBO and laughed the whole time.

I paid real cash money to see that in the theatre baby!!!!

My parents? They are so proud of me!!1!!!

My friends & I used to piss ourselves whenever we would see a "rat" wag its tail. *bwahahaha*

Cool poster for it though.

Deadly Eyes in the theater? I bow down to you, sir! You are a movie fiend.
