I have always regarded this holiday since it is a halfway point through the calendar year as a chance to take stock of what I have accomplished and still need to get done.
My main goal for the year is already taken care of! We bought a house and just in the nick of time because we did it before the interest rates went up. So I feel pretty good about that.
We haven't done as well the last few months with the eating better and more exercise commitment but we are going to start again on Tuesday. So I am hopeful about that goal.
And I promised myself to become more politically active since this is an election year and a critical election to be sure. I will volunteer for the Kerry campaign and have attended a fundraiser and given some of my hard-earned money to support him. And I got a few friends to attend who aren't usually that political.
All in all the first six months have been fairly productive.
Now I do have a confession to make. This LJ thing is fast becoming an addiction. I will have to be on my guard.
Have a safe and happy holiday!
