Legal Shenanigans Part 1

A high schooler in from Wisconsin has sued his school district because he was assigned homework to be completed during his summer vacation.

"...he was given three assignments last summer in preparation for an accelerated precalculus class that began last autumn. Since he had a summer job as a camp counselor, he could not get all the work done."

I luckily never had summer assignments in all my years of school but I always pitied my friends that had summer reading lists. It was bad enough reading Madame Bovary, Tess of The D'Urbervilles and Les Miserables during the school year. I would have been very resentful if I had to devote summer reading time to those books when I could have been reading tawdry stuff like The Other Side of Midnight and Princess Daisy.
