Only 5? If I Must...

Question: If you were in a situation in which you were only able to have and read 5 books for the rest of your life ---- what 5 would they be? (And for those who will try to slick around and use “volumes” as a way to equal more than one book – book is defined as between book covers = 1 book.)

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare
Moon Tiger by Penelope Lively
Love In The Time of Cholera by Gabriel García Márquez
To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Complete Poems by Anne Sexton

Seen in books.

I like "slick around" - I've never heard it before but it's quite colourful.

I have to think about this and post it in my journal. I agree with you on the complete works of Shakespeare - lots o' value for the money there.

I can't take credit for "slick around" because I just cut and pasted the post I saw in books but I thought it was saucy, too.

And I agree with the getting lots of bang for the buck with Shakespeare. That is one of the many reasons I chose him.

Oooh! With that nifty gadget, you have reading material handy all the time. Too bad I just got a new cell phone or I might be getting one of those.
